Neighbourhood Policing priorities for the coming months |
||
|
Dear Resident
Thank you to everyone who completed our latest local policing priorities survey. Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPTs) across Dacorum have reviewed the responses, alongside police data, to set their priorities for the coming months. NPTs work alongside partners to focus on solving long and short-term neighbourhood issues, such as anti-social behaviour, theft and drug-related crime. They set local policing priorities every four months, providing a specific focus on the issues that residents have raised. Residents will see their dedicated team of PCs and PCSOs working alongside partners to tackle the following issues, through an increased police presence, engagement events and targeted enforcement:
Berkhamsted and Tring • Anti-social behaviour in reported hotspot areas across Berkhamsted and Tring. Officers will be analysing data and reports to carry out patrols and work with partners, residents and businesses to problem solve the issues.
Hemel Hempstead East • Anti-social vehicle use in and around Blossom Way, as well as in Cattsdell and Hunters Oak, including the Nicky Line footpath linking the two. Patrols will be conducted and officers will look to issue Section 59 warning notices to persistent offenders, who will then risk having vehicles seized.
Hemel North, Rural, West and Central • Anti-social behaviour in Marlowes and Riverside. Patrols will continue, alongside work with partners and local businesses. • Anti-social behaviour and associated crime at Stoneycroft and Rossgate shops. Patrols and engagements will continue in the area. • Speeding in reported hotspot areas. Checks and patrols will be conducted.
Hemel Hempstead South • Anti-social behaviour around Bennetts End shops and Coronation Fields. Patrols and engagements will continue in the area. • Anti-social vehicle use and drug use around Corner Hall. Patrols will be conducted and enforcement action taken where necessary.
Whilst there will be a focus on the local priorities, officers will continue to respond to daily business as usual, as well as forcewide priorities and any emerging issues which require more immediate action. Alongside the NPT, Dacorum is also policed by officers who respond to emergency calls, a team of detectives who investigate crimes such as burglary, robbery and assault, and specialist units who work to tackle issues such as acquisitive crime and domestic abuse. In addition, they can call on officers from central teams which work countywide. | ||
